To prepare our pupils for future life we encourage them to take on roles of responsibility within the school. Two such roles are that of the school council and house captains.
School Council
The school council members are voted for by their classmates as a representative for their class and are the person who listens to all of their ideas, worries and opinions of the class and brings them to whole school meetings, to share with the council team.
Our School council meet twice a month to discuss the issues that are important to the student body. Each class has their own representative, who has the task of reporting to the teacher in charge the issues of their classmates. They then feedback to their peers about the resolutions and changes that will be made.
House Captains
Each of our houses has two Year 6 Captains and two Vice Captains. They meet twice a month to discuss issues important to their houses and plan for future inter house events and competitions. Each house has two captains and two vice captains.
Mr Hall, our SMSC leader is in charge of the Student Council and the House Captains.
