At Thames View Junior School, we aim to provide an excellent start to pupils education; growing confidence and a love of learning within the context of excellent teaching, high expectations and a relevant, interesting, ambitious and engaging curriculum.

Thames View Juniors is a community school which is based in Barking within the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.  We pride ourselves on providing a caring and friendly atmosphere associated with smaller schools.

We pride ourselves on not only our academic achievements but also out sporting opportunities, love of singing and performance and our planned events and trips to enrich the lives of our children.

Our School’s Vision for our Curriculum

The curriculum at Thames View Junior School is designed to provide a broad and balanced education that meets the needs of all pupils and gives them the knowledge, skills and understanding to prepare them for their future lives.

Through a stimulating and engaging curriculum, we aim to ensure that the children make great progress in all subjects, as well as giving them a wide variety of opportunities and experiences which makes their time at school exciting and develops them as the successful and courageous, honest, respectful, cooperative, perseverant and compassionate citizens of the future.

The curriculum celebrates the diversity and utilises the skills, knowledge and cultural wealth of the community while supporting the pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.
