Jeans for Genes Day

Dear Parents/ Carers,

Exciting News! Jeans for Genes Week is back this September, and it is fast approaching!

Thames View Junior School is fundraising for children & families with genetic conditions. We ask for your support, please donate £1 (or more if you wish) to the cause and make a direct impact on the lives of children with genetic condition.

Why should you donate?
Because every gene, every thread, and every £ counts when it comes to helping those in need. Let’s be the change we want to see in the world!

Your support really does matter.

* Genetic conditions are the biggest killer of children under 14
* It affects 1 in 10 families in the UK
* There are over 3.5 million people in the UK living with a genetic condition
* There are around 7,000 different kinds of genetic conditions, all with very different needs. This creates complexities & many small but vital groups find it difficult to get conventional funding

Jeans for Genes helps to change that.
It raises awareness, consolidates support and distributes funding to community projects at the heart of the issue.

This year’s Jeans for Genes Days will run from Mon 15 – Sun 21 September.

YOUR support is vital and every £1 matters.
There are different ways you can donate:

– Check out the donation in the payments tab here on MyChildAtSchool (MCAS) app to contribute!:

– You can also donate cash to the school – we will have staff at the gates you can donate to.

 For more info 👉 www.jeansforgenesday.org
Here’s how your child can participate:
They can wear their favourite jeans & show off their unique denim style on Friday 19th September.

Let’s make this the best Jeans for Genes Day ever! Together, we can change lives! Let’s create a ripple effect of positivity and support. Together, we can make a huge difference in the lives of these brave kids and their families. Your kindness and generosity can truly change the world!

Thank you
